ALTERATIONS IN TAUA.XAKL By Telegraph —Press Association, ■Wellington, Monday., 1 The boundaries of electorates aa reused 'by the Representation Commission ; are expected, to appear in the Gazette I to-day. The South Island loses the Taieri seat, and the North Island gains Raglan, which will be the flame of the new electorate, mostly taken from Waikato and partly from Taumarunui and Tauranga. It will include the towns of Raglan and Kawhia. Waikato has increased so much that without its additional percentage it showed a population of 18,000. Taumarunui has a population of 19,215. The following are the proposed boundaries for the new electoral districts gazetted. Any written objections wi'l be received up till noon, September 13, nnd heard next day, for the North Island, at Wellington.

STRATIPORD ELECTORATE. The Stratford district comprises the part of Waitara West road, district, south of the cross-rand to Huirangl Village find the Waitara river, formerly included in Taumarunui electoral district; and the remaining portion of Moa riding of Taranaki County not included in the Taranaki electoral district. The whole of Whangajnomona County, the whole of the North-Earft and Mangaehu ridings of Stratford County, and that portion of the South riding of Stratford .County lying to the'east of the Wel-lington-Xew Plymouth ra' !way; the whole of the Omoana riding of Eltham County, that portion, of tlie Eltham riding of Eltham-County lying to the east of the road intersecting sections 41 and 42, and forming the eastern boundary of section 44,. and intersecting section 53 by the Sangster road, Maata, road, Mangawhero road, and Mangamingi stream; the whole of the Meremere riding of the Hrnvera County, and that portion of Arawata riding included in the existing electoral district of Egmont; also that portion of Kapara riding of Patea County lying to the north the boundary between the land districts of Wellington and Taranaki and the Waitotara river. This district includes the borough, ol Stratford.

EGMONT ELECTORATE. Efcmont district comprises tke whole of Egmont County, the Kaponga, Mansatoki and South ridings of Eltham County, the whole of Waimate West County, the West riding of Stratford County, and that portion of the South riding of Stratford' County lying to the south of Stratford Borough and west of the New Plymouth-Wellington railway, and that portion of Eltham riding not included in the Stratford electorate: also that portion of the Hawera riding lying to the west of the Waiiijongoro river. This district includes the borough of Eltham and the town districts of Opunake, Manaia and Kaponga.

TARANAKI ELECTORATE. The Taranaki district comprises the existing electoral district of Taranaki, together with that portion of Waitara West road district lying to the west of Mahoetahi road, and north of the New Ply mou th-Wai (a ra railway line, and that portion of Moa road district lying between Wortley road and the existing electoral 'boundary, and less that portion of Rahotu riding lying to the north of Newall road. This district contains the boroughs of New Plymouth and Inglewood and town districts of Fitzrov and BE.Xviy& ■ ' '
