THE LATE MR. TISCH.
To the Editor. Sir,—ln your remarks in copnectir-' with the lamontcd death of our laU' Mayor, Mr. Tisch, you made the suggestion that s*me sort of nu'inorial should be placed on the Esplanade or somewhere. Now, knowing Mr. Tisch as I did, I feel convinced that the greatest compliment we can at the present juncture pay to his memory is to sink all our little differences, put our individual shoulders to the wheel, and, at any rate, for once in our history, pull heartily together and assist in bringing to a successful issue all the various schemes that Mr. Tisch in his enthusiasm had in his mind for furthering the advancement of New Plymouth. The Greater "New Plymouth idea is to have its testing time on Wednesday, and I would ask everyone who is in favor to do his or her share and vote for it, as well as recording his or her vote, and get carried into effect what may be only the first step towards a lasting memorial to his memory.—l am, etc., W.A.C.
