SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer has fallen slightly, with moderate to strong westerly winds generally, but squally in Foveaux Strait. Kain has fallen in many parts of the West Coast of both islands, and cool and changeable weather has prevailed. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly and northerly winds. squally at times in Cook and Foveaux straits. Changeable and showery conditions probable generally. The barometeric pressure is unsteady, but with a rising tendency soon.
