ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS

TARANAKI DISTRICT MEETING. The half-yearly meeting of the Tnranaki district was held at the Foresters' 'Hall, Waitara, on Tuesday, August 8. Present: District Chief Ranger Bro. C. H. Weston (in the chair), D.S.C.R. Bro. R. Fawcett, D.B. Bro. B. V. Kivell, D.S. Bro. C. Tunbridge, and D.T. Bro. U. R. Cati tley. The following delegates represented the undermentioned courts*:—Court Taranaki, P.C.R. Bro. A. ,T. Wa'v; Court Waireka, P.IH'.R. Bro. A. Tunbridge and P.C.R. Bro. T. M. Avery; Court Inglewood Forest, P.C.R. Bro. H. J. Stimpson and P.C.R. Bro. G. W. Bennett; Court Raleigh, P.C.R. Bro. R. G. Sampson; Court Egmont, P.C.R. Bro. W. J. MeNiven; Court .Stratford, P.D.C.R. Bro. G. Burgess; Court Patoa, P.C.R. Bro. E. T. Mercer; Court Pride of New Plymouth, P.C.R. Sister D. Lobb. There w#re also present, Bro. Tomlinson, of Court Taranaki, and Bro. Tate, of Court Baleigh.

A letter was read from the Wellington district reappointing a delegate to represent this district in connection with' the initiation of Lord Islington as a member of the Anciest Order of Foresters: On the motion of Bro. G. Bennett, it was decided that the District Chief Ranger Bro. C. H. Weston, should represent the district.

A resolution was passed in favor of the formation of a Subsidiary High Court of Foresters for New Zealand, and it was decided to co-operate with the Nelson district in this matter.

The district oflwers' report was read, and it stated that the funds of the Order had increased by the sum of £275,9®).
