THE PANTOMIME.
"JACK AND THE BEANSTALK." This evening at 7.45 the curtain will rise upon "Jack and the Beanstalk," the fifth annual pantomimic extravaganza presented by J. C. Williamson, LW. TV night will appear, for the first time here, a number of artists Whose equal, it is affirmed, have never previously been associated with this class of entertainment in Australasia. Mr. Jack Cannot, who will interpret "Dame Trot," has the reputation of being one "pf the best in this character in the United Kingdom. The wonderful Willie Pander company are, it is stated, absolutely the last word in high-class sensational acrobaticism, Of the ladies, Miss Dorothy Firmin.ag principal girl, and the Doherty Sisters, the famous American "Ginger Girls," come heralded with the best of reputations as ■brilliant and clever artists. The principal "hoy," Miss Mabelle Morgan, a favorite here, will make a re-appearance after four years. Others well and favorably known are Mr.' William Hassan, prime impersonator of animals; Mr. Rupert Darrell, Mr. Victor Loydall, Mr. Clyde Cook, Mr. Bert Watson, and Mise Marie Eaton. An augmented orchestra will he directed by Mr. Fred Quintrell. Mr. J. C. Whitfield will be responsible for the production, wlych in point of general attractiveness bids fair to outrival any of its predecessors. Children in arms will not be admitted.
