Official statistics show that factories in the State increased by 663 since 1004, the number of hands by 34 per cent., the value of the output 58% per cent., ami the total wages paid 50 per cent. With the object af supplying the public with potatoes at reasonable rates, without risking the introduction of blight, the Government has established depots for the sale of .potatoes at Us per hundredweight. CADETS AND DISCIPLINE. Received 5, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, August 4. Tn view of insubordination among the cadets, the military authorities have obtained legal advice as to their powers in disciplinary matters. The Federal Crown solicitor advises that senior cadets are subject to military law, and may be brought to summary jurisdiction.
