CHIEF VETERINARIAN PROMISES A BILL.

Mr. Reakes, Chief Government Veterinarian, in an address, intimated that he .was drafting a Bill for Parliament fc* the prevention of hereditary unsoundness in draught stallions. This provided for licensing stallions and a yearly inspection coming in gradually. The Biil covered bone spavin, ringbone, navicular disease, roaring, shivering, stringhalt, and had feet, a dissatisfied owner t® haive the right of appeal to the Chief Veterinarian.
