The Margit was towed out to sea yesterday morning and sailed for Port Victor, South Australia. THE RAIiAWA. The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning, after having undergone overhaul and survey at Auckland. Her cargo amounted to 170 tons, which included 23 tons of manure, 38 tons of cement, 2 tons of flour and 19 tons of sugar, besides 3500 ft of timber. THE ROSAMOND.
The Rosamond, from Wellington, Picton and Xelson, arrived here yesterday morning and brought 102 tons of cargo, including 500 cases of kerosene, 210 bags of salt, 100 boxes of candles. 108 sacks of maize, 157 cases of fruit, a large quantity of hardware, and transhipments ex Corinthic, Tongariro, Mimiro, Sussex and Ruahine. After completing her discharge, the Rosamond sailed for Onehunga.
THE CORIXXA. The Corinna, which is due here from southern ports to-morrow with about 400 tons of cargo, will proceed direct to Dunedin after discharging. This change in the time-table is arranged to enable the vessel to undergo an overhaul at Port Chalmers. THE WAIMEA. The Waimea is expected to arrive here to-morrow evening from Westport with a cargo of coal for the "Westport Coal Co.
Captain McLean, who was in charge of the Pateena while that vessel was relieving in the New PJymouth-Onehunga run, has transferred to the Te Anau, and Mr. Evans, his second officer, will also go to the Te Anau.' It is reported that there is a prospect of the large Herman five-masted sailing ship Preusscn, which was wrecked last winter off Dover, may be salved in two pieces. Operations have been commenced by a Liverpool firm, which proposes to divide the hull in two by explosives, tow the two sections to Dover, and subsequently reconstruct the vessel.
