L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—We had a very large entry on Saturday, over 200 birds being penned. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was good for all lines. We quote: Hens Is 4d to 2s-2d, cockerels Is 7d to 2s 9d, roosters Is to 2s Gd, ducks 2s to 2s 4d, pullets 2s 7d to 3s; purebred white Rock cockerels realised from 3s 6d to 8s each,- pullets 7s to Bs, brown Leghorn pullets 4s. In the mart a large quantity of furniture and shrubs sold well.
Fruit—The market has been good, all lines offered meeting with a ready sale. We quote: Bananas (ripe) 2>/4d per lb, green 7s 6d to 8s case, oranges 8s to 10s, pines 9s Gd; apples, Cambridge Pippin Gs 3d to 7s, re<J dessert 8s 6d to 9s, Sturmers. A. fls, B. 7s 9d to 8s 3d; passions 5s Gd, mandarins (small cases) 7s to 7s Gd.
