THE RUGBY GAME. TARANAKI v. NORTH ISLAND COUNTRY TEAM. n! The North Handf country touring team, has been .putting in very solid worlc since arriving in Now Plymouth on Monday [morning, in preparation for to- , day's match against tlie Taranaki representative team. They are a nuggety lot, and are fast and accurate in their work, so that a very fine game is assured. The visitors gained combination in last Saturday's match in which they were able to draw with the Auckland reps., and they have also gained, confidence from it. The Taranaki reps, axe in good nick also, and have played two or three matches this season. Their defence is likely to be tested to-day, which is as well, because a team has to b« selected now for the southern tour.
