The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Cloudy and unsettled weather has prevailed, with rain in many parts of the country, and moderate to strong winds, veering to westerly. The barometer has been unsteady. Present indications axe , for moderate to strong westerly winds. and cloudy and showery weather gener- ; ally. The barometer will probably rise; slowly in the far north, .but » unsteady elsewhere. A further ! fall is likely to precede a smart rise in about twenty- . four hears.
