Christehurch, Last Night A large deputation of Ohristchartl North electors waited on the Rev. L Id Isitt with a request that he should outline nis views on political matteia. Mr. Isitt said he had had many Ugß> ments with Mr. Taylor on politick matters, b»t their views on important mattore in politics were similar. The ipealm indicated that he opposed the fnrthei sale of Crown lands, and added that he wanted it distinctly understood that ha would only go to the House as one wW was free from any compact with aityi Government or party. He would 00 there to listen to legislative proposuß brought forward, and vote upon thea as his mind directed and hia conscience dictated. Various committees were formed to further Mr. Isitt's election. Dr. Thacker has not yet decided to contest the seat, but gives a reply to-morrow afternoon. If he staaM, it will be as an Independent Liberal. So far the Labor Party haa-not, made its selection, but it is bo oil Friday night.
