ALLEGED WHARF PILLAGE
AUCKLAND M.P. A BONDS-MAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Another development in what is known generally as the wharf pillaging cases, took place to-day when Arthur Glover was arrested. Before Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., this afternoon he was charged (1) that on April 23, 1911, be forged a telegram purporting to be signed by A. Tanfield, authorising the Union Company at Greymouth to deliver certain goods, to wit, five cases of drapery; and ( - 2) that on or about March 30, 1911, at Auckland, he stole from the wharf, goods to the value of £lO7 13s, the property of Messrs. Milne and Choyce. On the application of Chief Detective Marsack a remand was granted till Friday, when other persons alleged to bo concerned in the wharf robberies will come up. Bail in one surety of £2OO was granted, and was immediately forthcoming, the bondsman being Mr. A. E. Glover, M.P.
