THE BOTTOWLEY CASE.
AN UNSUCCESSFUL APPEAL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, July 31. The Court of Appeal dismissed Mr. Bottomley's appeal against the decision of the court awarding £57,835 to Mrs. Curtis, money alleged to have been wrongfully obtained from R. Master, < Mrs. Curtis' father. Lord Justices Vaughan and Williams dissented from the judgment, considering that Master was a mere gambler. Lord Justice Moulton stated that Bottomley induced Master to purchase shares in the John Bull Investment Company. Lord Justice Buckley agreed with Lord Justice Moulton. Mr. Bottomley will again appeal.
