At the meeting of the British Medica Association Professor Jordan Lloyd esti mated that there were 2270 deaths fron appendicitis during a year in Englani and Wales, and 40,000 operations for ap pendicitis "(during a year in the Unitei Kingdom. There were 000,800 general operation performed philanthropically every year.
