X.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO'S REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., Stratford Branch, report: — On Friday, 21st imat., we 'held a clearing sale on account of Mr. J. E. Clark, Climie road, Ngaere. The weather was good, and the attendance was the largest, we believe, ever seen at a clearing sate in the district, there •being' about 350 people present. Mrs. Clark provided a very fine luncheon, and after those present Iliad partaken of the sarnie, Mr. Budd, the company's auctioneer, started the sale with the household furniture and effects, which were numerous and of ivupcrior quality, and which were disposed of under very keen competition, and realised good prices.
