Auckland, Yesterday. John Chappell, a wharf laborer, while under the influence of liquor, drank a small bottle of lysol mixed with porter, death resulting. A MAN MISSING. Gisborne, Last Night. A man named W. Douglas, who left a station near Waipiiro Bay, has been missing since. Search parties have been out constantly, and have now discovered his horse near the Waiapu river, which is in high flood. The horse hafi a saddle under its Hanks, and it is feared that Douglas was washed out to sea, having come to grief at a ford. "
