PROPERTY SALES

A sale of considerable interest to farmers will be held in Mr. Newton King's mart, New Plymouth, on Saturday, sth pros., when Messrs Rutherford and Son's well-known properties at Rahqtu will be offered to the public. Tho freehold property has been subdivided, for the convenience of buyers, into four lots, in areas ranging from 111 to 160 acres. A West Coast settlement Reserves leasehold of 249 acres will be put up in one lotc. Lots 1, 2 and 3 front on to the Parihaka and Coast roads, and lot 3 faces the Tipoka road. All are within two miles of the Pungarehu dairy "factory and township. Lot 4 front on to the Parihaka and Main Sputh roads, within one mile of Pungarehu. Lots 1, 3 and 4 have good buildings erected thereon. On lot 1 there has been erected a fiaxmill, with all the necessary machinery for cleaning and stripping flax. The farms comprise some of the best land on the coast and have been farmed by Messrs Rutherford and Son for many years, and it is only on account of their having decided to dissolve partnership that their properties are put upon the market. A final reminder is given of the land sale to be held in Mr, Newton King's mart to-day, when Mr. W. Parson's wellknown property at Pukearuhc will bo ofTered to the public in three lots. This property, which lies on both sides of the Main North road, about a quarter of a mile from Whiteeliffs dairy factory and telephone, and seven miles from Urenui, was formerly part" of the Whitcelill's estate. It is practically all level, well watered and subdivided into 13 paddocks, and has a fi-roomed dwellinghouse, cowshed (with concrete floor) and all necessary outbuildings thereon. It is very conveniently situated in the centre of a rising district, and should make a profitable investment. DAIRY SALE. The attention of farmers is directed to the sale on account of Mr. Ni Miller, which Mr. Newton King is holding at Omata on Wednesday next, when his choice dairy herd will be submitted to the hammer. The cows and heifers are an exceptionally choice lot, the majority being well-bred Jerseys. They have all been carefully selected, and have produced excellent returns for the past season. The heifers are really splendid quality, and can be recommended with confidence.
