GOOD NEWS FROM LONDON. Writes the London correspondent of the Auckland Herald, under date June 10th: —There are indications that serious attention will he paid to New Zealand oil after the Coronation holidays, and the statement was made this week that negotiations for the taking up of important properties had just been (■(included by a London, group. Mr. J. 11 Henry says that a cable has been received in London announcing that the chairman of a New Zealand oil company would leave for this country in a few days. This visit would .be certain to do good, not only to the town of New Plymouth, but also to the other oilfields of the Dominion. The industry, he added, had sull'cred in the past because of the difficulty experienced by London oil men in getting into pergonal touch with directors and officials of local petroleum enterprises.
