A NEWCASTLE MURDER

TWO MEN COMMITTED. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 25, 0.20 p.m. Sydney, July 25. Two men named Smith and Jones were committed for trial on a charge of the murder of Daly at Newcastle on the 17th inst. The evidence Bhowed that the men had been drinking together. When arrested Smith told the police that Daly had shot himself. At the inquest to-day Smith stated that he was trying to open a revolver when it went off and shot Daly.
