The newspapers state that the Governments of Britain and France are acting in complete agreement regarding Germany's apparent intention to remain at Agadir until she obtains satisfaction. Both Cabinets have reBolved not to allow any weakening of the entente. SPANIARD AND FRENCHMAN. SOME CONTRADICTIONS. Received 23, 5.5 p.m. Tangier, July 22. Colonel Sylvestre, the Spanish Commandant, grossly insulted Lieut. Thiriet, the French instructor of the Moorish forces outside Alcazar, when he was arrested and brought under escort to him. Thiriet was ultimately released. Paris, July 22. Sylvestre, apologising to M. Boisset, states that he imprisoned the principal offender in connection with the incident. Madrid, July 22. Don Sylvestre alleges that Lieut. Thiriet boxed a Spanish corporal's ears. A lieutenant of Spanish cavalry thereupon courteously invited Thiriet to visit Colonel Sylvestre to explain the affair. Sylvestre, he says, was never arrested.
