TROUBLE IN PERSIA.
THE EX-SHAH'S LANDING. By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Teheran, July 19. The ex-Sliad landed at Gumeistepc, near Astabad, with half a dozen followers, but secured the support of Turcomans. The loyalty of the 1200 Buklitiari in Teheran towards the Bcjliss is undoubted. The new Cabinet formed is of an active disposition. The national leaders have hastened to assure the Government of their hearty support against the exShah. The latteT left Odessa on the plea of taking a cure in France. Opinion in Teheran attributes his landing to collusion or gross carelessness on the part of the Russian authorities, Russia being in opposition to Mr. Shuster's financial reforms land Major Stoker's appointment.
MARTIAL LAW PROCLAIMED. ' ~ ■' Received 20, 10.30 p.m. ' Teheran, July 20. Mejliss has empowered Sipahdor, the Premier, to proclaim martial law. Five hundred Bakhtiaris and 500 reformed cavalry are starting against the ex-Shah. Two thousand Bakhtiaris will operate against Salareddowleh.
