Mr. C. Carter, chairman of the Taranaki Petroleum Co., is due in London on Sunday. A London cablegram states tlhat Sir George E'eid and Miss Reid are making sa/tisfaatory progress. Mr. J. J. Stiigpoole, of tlie committee of the New Plymouth Boxing Association, accompanied by A. C. Maxwell, leaves for Invercargill by tiho mail train this morning. The latter will represent Taranaki at the New Zealand Boxing Association's championship meeting at Invercargill on Tuesday amd Wednesday nest.
