Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday wo had our usual heavy entry of poultry of all classes, prices still showing an advance on the previous week, laying pullets being in keen demand. We quote:— Hens (old) Is !>d to Is lOd. young 2s to 2s 9ij, cockerels (young) Is !)d to 2s (id, others Is 4d to Is Bd, pullets (p.b. brown Leghorns), laying, 4s !)d to 6s, others 2s to 3s, ducks 2s to 2s 3d. drakes Is lid to 2s Id, bantams 4d to (id, turkey hens 3s 3d, gobbler 6s, geese 3s 3d, rabbits Is Cd per pair. Sundries—ln the mart a large quantity of sundries and house furniture were disposed of at satisfactory prices. Fruit—During the week this has been in fair supply. We quote: Oranges (repacks) 10s 6d to l'ls Od, bananas (ripe) l%d to 2d per lb; apples, Sturmers 9s to 9s Od, Dougherty !)s, Soke woods 7s to 'Bs, Washingtons Bs, cookers 7s to 7s >6d; lemons, 8s to 10s; peanuts, 2%d per lb. LOCAL MARKETS.

Butchers' Meat.— Beef: Sirloin, 6d; prime ribs, fid; rump steak, 8d; beef, from 3d to 6d; corned beef, 4d ana fid. Mutton: Legs 6d; chops, 6d; loin, sd; ehoulders, 5d per lb; necks, 3d.
