A DELAYED BURIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The irecemt delayed burial was referred to at the meeting of the Hospital Board this morning, when the hospital committee reported as follows: "A regrettable incident in that by pure oversight the corpse of a patient remained unburied for several da 3's must ho noted, but the committee investigated tdie matter and there is no reason to apprehend amy such' case in the future." The board adopted the clause of the report without discussion.

UNEMPLOYED IN DUNEDIN. Dunedin, Last Night. It is said that the unemployed in Dumcdin number about 30. A wire was sent to the Hon. R. McKenzie asking if 20 men could be found employment in the construction of the bridge at Taderi mouth, to which the Minister has replied that he is making necessary inquiries.

EARTHQUAKE SHOCK. Wanganui, Last Night. An earthquake shock wag felt here at 9.30 this evening. Palnieretoii N., Last Night. A shock of earthquake was felt here at 9.35 this evening. X-RAYS AND CANCER. Wanganui, Last Night. Dr. Ja.s. Reid, of the Wnngamii HospiltaJ, reported to the Hospital Board to-day that he had cured by means of X-rays a case of skin cancel'. The cancer in question was on the face. He has at present a more serious case under treatment, and it is getting on well. THE SUGAR COMBINE. ®r«ynw>uth,, Last Night.
