PRIZES ALLOCATED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. In connection with the next contest under the auspices of the North Island Brass Bands' Association, to be held in Gisborne, a local committee has adopted the recommendations of the finance committee. The prize money to be given at the contest .should be £415, and is allocated as follows: Test selection, A grade: First prize £IOO, second £SO, third £25. B. Grade: First £00; second £3O, third £lO. Quickstep.—A grade: First £SO, second £25. B grade: First £45, second 20. Tn addition to the above many gold and silver medals also have been promised.
