Having a seating capacity for 40,000 spectators, and standing room for another 30,000 the stand at the Turin Exhibition is the largest of its kind in Mie world. Having been in vogue for centuries, the custom of ringing two bells, one to summon the rich, and the other the poor to vestry meetings, has now been digcontinued at NortMeach,- (Gloucester shire,' on the ground that it is out of keeping with modern feeling.
