BUSINESS NOTICES.

Farmers and graziers are requested to note the list of entries for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.'s Stratford sale to be held on Tuesday next.

"Coming events cast their shadows before," and so Messrs. Morey and Son's great winter sale loomed high on tho horizon, and yesterday burst upon us in all its glory and bargain giving. Everybody should make it their special business to secure some of the rich savings while the sale continues. The public are reminded of the sale of land which Mr. Newton King is holding at his mart to-day. The property comprises some 107 acres of freehold land on the Frankley road, within four miles of New Plymouth. On the land are five-roomed house, trap-shed, 6-bail cow-shed, outbuildings, and orchard. It is a very handy little farm, well watered and sub-divided into seven paddocks and close to factory and school, and should be well worth inspection. In the determination to make their great winter sale the most sensational bargain event of the year, the Melbourne have created new value-giving standards and new low price levels. Only the worthiest qualities in the most wanted personal and household merchandise are offered. You should positively make no plans that will interfere with your visiting the store to-day. White and Sons' showing of costumes just now can be described as brilliant. There are London, Roslyn and Petone makes, and all at less than half the usual price. This season's Petone costumes, for instance, that were 90s each, can now be had for 455, while others of colonial manufacture that were 50s to 03s each, are now priced at 21s and 25s each. You should see them.

The Busy Cash Drapery Store, op posite Carnegie Library, King street, run by Messis. Morey and Moore, is the best cash store in the Dominion for out and out bargains. Sixpenny sash ribbon all the year round. Why pay doublet— Advt.
