Sir Frederick Young, vice-president of the Royal Colonial Institute, has organised a committee, including Lords Onslow, Glasgow and Ranfurly, to erect a statue of Gibbons Wakefield at Wellington. Sir J. G. Ward expressed sympathy with Sir F. Young, and hopes the New ■Zealand Government will co-opexate.
