WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. | Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday we had an extra heavy entry of all classes of poultry, prices obtained still showing an advance on last week. Laying hens, ducks and pullets are still in good demand. We quote: Hens (old) Is 7d to Is 9d, young Is lid to 2s !)<!, cockerels Is 3d to Is 7d, others 2s id to 3s 2d, ducks 2s 2d to 2s (id, drakes Is lid to 2s 7d, pullets (purebred) 3s Id to 4s, others 2s to 2s ad', turkey hens -Is Hid, geese 5s Id, S.U. cockerels' 7s (id; rabbits Is 6d per pair.

Sundries.—ln the mart we disposed of a large quantity of sundries at satisfactory prices. Furniture.—On Wednesday we held a clearing sale on account of Mrs. A. B. Fraser at her residence in Vogeltown. There was a very large attendance and bidding throughout was very spirited, prices realised being very satisfactory. Fruit—Oranges (re-padks) 9s 6d to 10s Gd, bananas (ripe) L%d to 2d per lb, mandarins 10s, pineapples 8s to 9s, passions 5s (id, apples (colored dessert) 8s <M to 9s, others 9s to 9s Od, peanuts 2%d per lb, lemons 5s 6d to (is Od.

L. A. XOLAX & CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday our pens were well filled. All classes were represented and with the good attendance of buyers satisfactory prices wero realised. Wc quote: Hens Is od to 2s, cockerels Is 7d to 2s 3d, purebred do. to 5s 3d, pullets Is 5d to 2s 2d, ducks 2a to 2s 7d, turkeys 4s to 4s Od.

In the mart we disposed of a large catalogue of furniture at good prices. Fruit.—We have to report the arrival of Hawke's Bay, Nelson, Sydney and Island fruits. The market is very firm at present, all lines selling well. Prices realised as follows:—Oranges 8s to 8s 6d, bananas (ripe) 2d per lb, green 9s (id per case; apples, Stunners 9s, Rokewoods. 9s, Hoovahs 8s M, cookers 7s to 7s Od; mandarins, gins 10s 9d to lis 9d, cases 8s to 8s 9d; pineapples, 9s; cocoanuts, 16b per sack; demons, gins 9s Od; passions 48 6d to 5s 9d.

LOCAL MARKETS. Butchers' Meat. Beef: Sirloin, 6d; prime ribs, ,6d; rump steak, 8d; beef, from 3d to Od; corned beef, 4d ana sd. Mutton: Legs 8d; chops, 6d; loin, sd; shoulders, 5d per lb; necks, 3d. Veal, 3d to 5d per lb. Sausages: Beef, sd, pork Bd. , Lamb: Legs, 6d; .forcquartcrs, 4s 6d; hindquarters, 5s Od. Pork: Fresh, 6d per lb. Fowls, 8s to 6s per pair; ducks, 6s per pair. Dripping, 6d per lb. These prices are for cash only; y 2 d per lb. for booking over one week.
