Oxford and Cambridge defeated Yale and Harvard Universities in an athletic competition five events to four. Received 12, 9.20 p.m. London, July 12. In the International-University contesta, America won the hurdles, Chisholm's time being 15 2-ssec., an inter-university reoord; also the high and long jumps, and half-mile. The English won throwing the hammer, the hundred yards, quarter-mile, mile and two miles. There was great enthusiasm over the English winning the final event.
