AFFECTED 11Y ARBITRATION TREATY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright, Tokio, July 11. Owing to the projected Anglo-Ameri-can arbitration, Japan has agreed to Britain's proposal, making the clause in the Anglo-Japanese alliance treaty concerning mutual assistance in war inapplicable when either of the allies is fighting a nation with which the other has an arbitration treaty.
