In connection with the strike at Cardiff the seamen heard a vessel in the docks contained Chinese. A boatload of pickets evaded the police and boarded the vessel and rushed the forecastle. The Chinese faced them with drawn knives. The pickets withdrew, and contented themselves with pelting the Chinese with coal.
