DISTRICT NEWS.
ICO 111 TO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A cue-lire party anil dance was held in the schoolroom on Friday evening last. A fair number turned out. The ladies' prizes were won by Miss L,-Jones (first) and Miss B. Hall (second), and the men's by Mr. P. Cream (first) and Mr. P. Molly (second). Miss Ella Miles ■won the ladies' booby prize, and Master Ernest Coad the men's.
The following scholars have made full attendances at school during the past quarter: Percy Coad, Ernest Coad, Clarice Fuller, Eileen Coad, Stanley Coad, Freda Keast, Beatrice Keast, Archie Coad. Miss half-day: Eric Williams, Ernest Williams, Elsie Williams, Ida Williams, Gwynnie Williams. Missed one day: Arthur Belk. LeslieC'hatterton, William Ansford, Dorothy Miles, Pearl James, Edith Miles. Minnie Ansford, Mary James. I hear of another farmer in this district having sold his dairy herd at £8 Klh per cow. showing there is a big > demand for good milk cows.
Mr. C. Coad and family, who have been milking on shares for Mr. H. Olson for the past year, are leaving this week to reside in Inglewood. There are many expressions of gratitude at the Tegular arrival every day of the Taranaki Daily News.
