• SUMMARY AND FORECAST. j " •By Telegraph. Iwm AsMteatkm. 1 Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast: — The barometer has had a falling tendency everywhere, but under the influence of a second area of low pressure, advancing winds have moderated, and the rainfall decreased. To-day northerly winds, moderate to strong, have prevailed in the far north, easterly thence to Cook Strait, And variable winds elsewhere. Present, indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather with rain in most parts of the country. The winds axe variable, but will probably back into north and west after about twenty hours, when a further fall in the barometer is due to take place.
