Birdling's Farm (Main road to Ufenui) on THURSDAY, JULY 27, 1011, Beginning at 10 o'clock a.m. PROGRAMME. Class 1 (DOUBLE FURROW).-First prize £5 5s and special; 2nd, £2 His and special; 3rd, £1 10s. A special will be given for the best upon up or ridge of 16 furrows. Class 2. (SINGLE FURROWL-lst prize, £3 and special; 2nd, £2 and special: 3rd, £ I ss. Class 3 (SINGLE FURROW), for boy* tinder 18. —lwt prize, £3 and special: 2nd, £ I 10s and special; 3rd, £I. A special prize of £1 Hh and trophy will be awarded to the best turn-out in Classes 1, 2 & 3. Entrance Fees. —Class 1, 5/-; Class 2, 4/-; Class 3. 3/-. Separate entries for! best turn-out, L/- in each class. Entries will be received up to 5 o'clock oh FRIDAY. July 20. at Waitara. RULES. 1. All teams to be readv to start at 10 a.m. 2. Eaeli competitor in double-furrows to plough % acre, and in single furrow half acre. 3. Double-furrow ploughs to gather four Tounds (10 furrows), to be the full depth, 5 inches, on the third round. 4. Single-furrows t-o gather a ridge of 10 furrows to be the full depth, 5 inches, on the fourth round. 5. The time allowed in each class will be Ave hours from 10 a.m. Any competitor exceeding the five hours 'will be disqualified. 6. All competitors must finish with a clean up or seed furrow. No featheredge, allowed. 7. No handling allowed by any competitor or other person. fi. No other parson but the competitor to be allowed on the ground laid out for plougliing after the ftrst round. 0. Tn special prizes for Chwses 1 and 2 for best turn-out. horses and harness must be the bona fide property of the entrant. 10. Should the entries be less than three in number in any class, the judges will award such prizes as they deem fit. 11. Entrance fee must accompany the entry. 12. Three judges will be appointed, and their decision will be final. JUMPING COMPETITIONS. To start at 2 p.m. Class I.—MAIDEN JUMPING. For riders and horses that hare never won a jumping contest. A sweepstake of 5/eath, with a special prize from the Association. Class 2.—OPEN JUMPING. For allcomers. A sweepstake of 10/-. with a special for the winner from bite Association.
