SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Sress AsMMMaon. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the weather summary and forecast. A change in conditions has taken place, gloomy and damp weather extending over the Dominion. Rain fell heavily in parts on Sunday and to-day. Increasing northerly and westerly winds predominated, but changed to southerly southward of Cook Strait during Sunday night. Present indications are for ft epell of unsettled and stormy weather generally, heavy rain and flooded rivers in many parts, and snow on higher levels. Variable winds, strong to a gale, are expected, northerlies prevailing in the north and southerlies for a time in the south. The barometer will, after 1 a slight . temporary rise in the south, probably fall everywhere.
