The weather was fine for the match, and about 10,000 were present. In the first half the New Zealanders played with the breeze, and showed' brilliant combination. The Queenslanders tackled and fumbled badly, but the .play was very fast and strenuous, and several players were temporarily disaibled. The New Zealanders had much the better of this half, and badly beat the Queenslanders in the scrum, and scored most of their points as a result. The second half was vigorously contested, both sides showing splendid combination. The tackling was deadly. The New Zealanders were frequently on the defensive. Queenslanders lost several certain tries through fumbling when close to the visitors' line. The closing stages' were very exciting, and the Queenslanders scored twice. The remainder of the points were the results of penalty kicks. The alterations in the Queensland team were: O'Brien, Heidke and Murtagh replaced Trueman, Munro and .Tones. For the New Zealand team, Aslier, Gillet, McDonald, Mason and Dunning replaced Winder, Siddells, Keen, Stanway and Milne. At half-time the New Zealand wore was 13, Queensland 2. Seager, McDonald, Mitchell and Sprague scored tries, and Seager converted three. Final scores: New Zealand 18, Queensland 14.

The first half was a fast and even forward game, and ended, Sydney G, New Zeuland 3. The ground being slippery prevented the backs of either side getting going. In the second spell the locals outplayed the visitors, scoring sixteen points to New Zealand's th«eo The game ended: Metropolitan 22, New Zealand Universities 6. For New Ze» land J. Fnrie and Curtayne scored a tty each.
A BOY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Saturday Night. While playing in an Association school match, between Morning and High School this afternoon, Atliol Hislop, of ,' Mornington. came into collision with an opposing player, and sustained a compound fracture of the left leg below the knee.
ACCIDENTS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Last Night. A young man named Frederick Strong, Hged 22, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday, suffering from serious internal injuries, received while playing football. Leonard Owen, aged 35, living at New-., ton, was also admitted to the hospital last evening, suffering from an injured knee, sustained during a football match when playing the second grade iiorthern Leagu match, Northoote v. Ponsonby, at Victoria Par^v Malcolm Taylor, a forward, playing for Northcote/ met with tt nasty accident, by whifrh his arm tow bltfien.
