Meetings of shareholders in the Dunlop Rubber Company approved the reconstruction scheme with a view to increasing the capital. The chairman stated that the company had made substantial progress, and that the business had increased very largely.
NEW SOUTH WALES GOLD YIELD. Sydney, July 8. The New South Wales gold yield for six months was 88,582 ounces fine, valued at £376,274, an increase of 3080 ounces com pared with the same period of last year. A RAILWAY LEASED. Melbourne, July 8. A prospectus has been issued by the Co-operative Assurance Company, which has! a capital of £250,000. One-third of the issue is reserved for New Zealand. SYDNEY SHEEP SALES. Sydney, July 8. The sheep Bales have closed. Mr. Ensor, of New Zealand, paid 40gns. for a ram from Sir Samuel MeCaughcy's flock.
