POUR SEAFARERS DROWNED. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 0, 5.5 p.m. New York, July 9. The second officer and three of the crew of the wrecked steamer Santa Rosa were drowned while attempting to put a line ashore. The passengers were rescued, but the vessel is probably a total wreck.

FOURTEEN LIVES LOST. Received 10. 1.15 a.m. New York, July 9. It is reported that fourteen sailors lost their lives in attempting to get ashore from the Santa Rosa wreck.
