The iCorinna arrived yesterday morning from southern ports with a cargo of 420 tons, which included 730 sacks potatoes, 451 sacks. 252 hundreds and 733 fifties flour, 338 sacks pollard, 105 sacks oats, 320 sacks wheat, and 55 sacks oatmeal. After discharging she loaded 200 bags of meat (for transhipment to the Drayton Grange, for West of England) and' 400 boxes of butter, and sailed about 4 p.m. for Wellington. She is to act as convoy to the disabled Takapima on the journey down from Wellington to Dunedin,
KAWHIA IIABBOT?. .Mr. M. Forsyth, under engagement, to the Kawhia Harbor Board, arrived last week (says the Settler), and lias subsequently been employed in taking levels and soundings and other preparatory work in connection with the proposed harbor improvements. These will include the erection of a wharf at Lemon Point and wharf sheds at Opar.au Landing. Kauri Bridge, Waiharakeke. Kiwi Hay and Te Maika. as well as some improvements to the Kawiha wharf, involving the expenditure'of about C 1000: It is expected that sonic of the works will be got under way by the spring.
