FIRE AT HOBART. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Hobart, July 0. A fire destroyed Fitzgerald's large soft goods warehouse. Grant and Atkins' printery and several adjoining premises were damaged by fire and water. The damage is not stated, but lit will amount to many thousands. The insurances total £45,000. The Postmaster-General is negotiating with 'the United States with a view to the establishment of penny postage between Australia and America. SUGAR WORKERS' STRIKE. Brisbane, July 0.
