ABANDONED AT SEA

A MOKAU SCOW. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Received 6, p.m. Norfolk Island, July 6. The scow Whangaroa, which left Mokau on May 31, has been abandoned near Lord Howe Island. She is waterlogged. The crew is safe, awaiting the Sydney steamer. The news was brought by the Makambo.

A message received by the Royal Exchange states that the scow Whangaroa, which left Mokau on May 31, sprung a leak and was abandoned at sea. The crew landed safely on Lord Howe Island.
