Sydney University, took place to-day, the visitors winning by 9 points to 3. The ground was under water, and there was an attendance of several hundred. For the first half, play was hard and even, and was mostly ciifined to the forwards. The spell endel New Zealand G, Sydney 3. Rain fell unceasingly during the second half, and the greasy bah made passing impossible. The final scores were: New Zealand 9, Sydney 3. For New Zealand, Grace and Molloy scored tries, and Norrie kicked a penalty goal.

Southland LTnion's action in removing the disqualification from W. J. Carrie was endorsed. Action was deferred in reference to an appeal by the White Star Club (Westport) against the decision of the Buller Union in awarding Cape Foulwind Club a win on the ground that the White Star Club did not co-operate under the union's insurance fund. The South Auckland Union wrote protesting against the Auckland Union asking that a Ranfurly Shield match be played on a Wednesday. A number of promment New Zcalanders did not plav. The Queenslanders had the assistance of a breeze in the first half, and had much the better of the game. Brilliant tackling prevented the New Zealand backs from moving. New Zealand's offside play and hanging to the ball cost ■them several tries. At half-time Queensland were 7, New Zealand nil. In the second spell the Queenslanders played brilliantly, completely outclassing the New Zealandcra, whose three-quarters were unable to get moving. The New Zcalanders played strenuously towards the close and scored twice. The Quecnslandors' fast wing three-quarter. Gilmors, scored three brilliant tries.
