DISTRICT NEWS.
EGMONT ROAD. (From Our Own Correspondent.) It was resolved at a meeting of the Bell Block district exhibit committee to most cordially thank the proprietors of the Taranaki Herald and Taranaki Daily News for the prominence given to the district exhibits in 'the papers in connection with'the recent winter show. The committee also desire to express their thanks to the settlers (natives included) for the -prompt and generous manner in which they responded to the invitation to assist in making the collection that was shown.
