The Meteorological Office has issued J the following summary and forecast:— There has been little movement of the barometer in the northern and southernmost districts, and a moderate rise has taken place elsewhere. Southerly and ■westerly winds have prevailed, moderate to strong, with showery and changeable weather, especially in the north and southernmost districts. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds generally, and a rising barometer everywhere, with cold and changeable weather, hut squally in Foveaux Strait.
