SOME CAKE RECIPES. Rich Cheap Cake.—Beat well the yolks of three eggs and the whites of two with one cup of fine eugar. Beat in one-half cup condensed milk, one and two-thirds cups sifted Hour, two heaping teaspoons baking powder, one-half teaspoon lemon, one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Butter generously two large cake tins. Put together with frosting made with one white of egg and two-thirds cup of sugar beaten together. Afternoon lea Cakes.—One cup sugar, ono cup raisins, one-half cup butter, one teaspoonful cinnamon, one-half teaspoonful elo\es. Stir this together, and put on stove and let come to the boil. Cool, then add two cups of flour with one teaspoonful of soda. Put in gem pans, and bake in a quick oven.
