SOME CAKE RECIPES. Rich Cheap Cake.-Boat well the yolks of three eggs and the whites of two with one cup of fine cugar. Beat in one-half cup condensed milk, one and two-thirds cups sifted Hour, two heaping teaspoons baking powder, one-half teaspoon lemon, one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Butter generously two large cake tins. Put togeiner with frosting made with one white of egg and two-thirds cup of sugar beaten together. Aftenu.on Ten Cakes.—One cup sugar, one cup raisins, one-half cup butter, one t-easpoon-ful cinnamon, one-half teaspoonful cloves. Stir this together, and put on stove and let come to the boil. Cool, then add two cups of flour with one teaspoonful of soda. Put in gem pans, and bake in a quick oven. A tea that you will appreciate is the "Mikado'' Blend, a tea that costs but eighteenpenee a pound, and tastes likf> that worth 2s. It is a good strong llavory tea, with plenty of body, anil extremely pleasing to the palate.
