After a highly successful tour of the south, on Wednesday next we are to have a return visit from Jock Willis and his talented combination of Caledonians. Both as singers and humorists the Caledonians take a high place. To detail the individual items of their programme would he a superfluity. One of the most striking features of the entertainment is the rendering of the auld, auld sangs by the Caledonian quartette ' party, which comprises four voices of more than average merit. As a humor-ist.-Jock \tillis is well known to oui readers as a first quality artist. Mr. Willis' humor never infringes on the coarse or vulgar side, yet he is able to keep the audience in a state of merriment during the whole time he is occupying the boards. All the old favorites will contribute new items, and the brilliant second part will serve to introduce to local playgoers Mr. Dave Smith, Xew Zealand's champion middle-weight boxer of the world, in a relined athletic display, introducing ball-punching, ropeskipping and shadow-sparring, also illustrating the different blows and tactics used by the most, prominent, boxers of the day. The entire programme is free from anything questionable, and should be the means of comfortably tilling the Theatre Royal on Wednesday evening.
