In tin: Senate, during tlic debate on reciprocity, Senator Cummins warned the Republicans that the passage of the Bill would mean the ruin of the Republican Party. He contended that the Bill was drawn perfectly, and consequently Canada was able to recognise one balf of it without compulsion to accept the whole.
